Our purpose

Le Hub Francophone Midwest is an independent community project. It helps people discover events, resources, stories and one another.

One region, two shores

The Hub connects French speakers in Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois and other Midwest cities with people living in France. Its directory and calendar are built from public sources.

A legacy rooted in 1996

The July 24, 1996 Iowa City Press-Citizen archive documents a visit by young French people to Iowa. It anchors the Hub’s memories; it does not establish the founding date of the current website.

The Hub and UFE

The Hub remains an independent community project. It shares resources from UFE and other organizers with source attribution. A mention establishes neither an affiliation nor an official partnership.
